Our experience with Cory Kanagy and the building process of our home went smoothly to say the least. We were 1000 miles away asking for him and his team to do very specific tasks and they accomplished all of our demands with even more detail than specified. I was hesitant on buying a home or having our home customized while being out of state, but with the conversations, pictures, videos, and straight line communication I experienced with Cory, I would do it again in a heartbeat. Other construction groups might do something they thought was right without asking, but Cory and his team continued to raise the question before the rework and if there was something they believed would be a problem such as functionality, cosmetically, or structurally from what we had asked them to do, they would voice their concern like it was their own home. Cory likes to make the builds feel as if they were his own and that is proven by his constant attention to detail and long hours he puts in without hesitation. I believe they are building homes and not houses because they don’t just put the work in, but they put the customization and detail that makes it more than a just a house that any construction group can build from a blueprint. I have enjoyed working with Cory and his group since we moved to SC in 2015. We have been so pleased with our home, we will definitely be going back to Cory Kanagy to build our next house on our new Lake Keowee lot in the next year or two. To use the same builder for your second home, they are definitely doing it right.”
